Government maintains peace, security: Home Minister Thapa

Hetauda, April 17: Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa has claimed that the incumbent government has maintained peace and security effectively by controlling the factors against the constitution and the state.

Inaugurating the state level seminar on peace and security of State-3 in Hetauda, Makawanpur today, Home Minister Thapa said the government is committed to peace and security.

He informed that the government has launched a special campaign to check illegal activities like violence, crimes, corruption, smuggling and irregularities. Home Minister Thapa further said that talks have been on to bring the Netra Bikram Chand- Bipled-led group to mainstream politics.

The two-day seminar has been attended by chief district officers of 13 districts, chiefs of Nepal Police, National Investigation Department, Armed Police Force and high ranking officials of Nepal Army.
