Kathmandu, April 19: Nepali Congress president Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that the government has not worked for the welfare of the people.
Addressing a ‘greetings exchange’ programme organised by Nepal Students Union (NSU) Kathmandu on the occasion of the Union’s 49th Establishment Day today, he said the time has come to wage a protest movement against the government.
Congress president Deuba stated that he will form the NSU’s ad-hoc committee in consultation with the students.
Meantime, NC general secretary Dr Shashank Koirala accused the incumbent government of only talking and not acting. He stressed on becoming united and waging an agitation against the government. (RSS)
