Government decides to provide 846.8 million rupees to Nepali Army for rebuilding the houses of Bara and Parsa storm victims

Kathmandu, April 25: The government has decided to provide 846.8 million rupees to the Nepali Army for rebuilding the houses of Bara and Parsa storm victims.

Informing about the latest cabinet decisions, Minister for information technology and communication Gokul Prasad Baskota said the amount was decided to give out to the Nepali Army to reconstruct the 1463 damaged houses before the mid-monsoon begins in Nepal.

The government spokesperson said the council of the minister also approved interest payment related integrated first amendment work procedure 2075 to provide soft loan to the earthquake victims after some problems emerged in the distribution of relief to them.

According to him, authority was given to sign the agreement to be made between Nepal and China about revenue administration in the course of the president’s ongoing China visit. Similarly, the cabinet meeting accepted assistance worth 16.8 billion rupees received from the Chinese government.

The government also approved vice president’s Austria visit in coming May. The cabinet also decided to form a talk team to approve the World Bank assistance of 2.65 billion rupees for the school zone development programs.

The government spokesperson said the cabinet also took a decision to call back Nepali envoy to Qatar professor Ramesh Prasad Koirala.
