Finance Minister Dr. Khatiwada urges Indian industrialists to invest in Nepal assuring investment returns and security

Kathmandu, May 16: Finance Minister Dr Yuba Raj Khatiwada has urged the Indian industrialists and businesspersons to invest in Nepal without any hesitation.

Inaugurating the ‘Nepal-India Franchise Investment Expo and Conclave’ in Kathmandu today, Finance Minister Dr. Khatiwada said that the present government has created an environment conducive for investment. He added that the government has carried out policy reforms and also made arrangements for high profitability and security of investment.

He further informed that the one stop service centre has also been brought into operation and laws related to foreign investment and technology transfer has been implemented in the country.

Stating that the private sector has a huge investment in the tourism industry, Finance Minister Khatiwada urged the private sector to invest more in tourism as the number of tourists arrival has been increasing every year.

On the same occasion, Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) president, Bhawani Rana expressed that the investment expo and conclave will be effective for exploring further opportunities for investments as the industrialists and businesspersons from Nepal and India.

Likewise, India’s ambassador to Nepal, Manjeev Singh Puri said that there are many sectors in Nepal in which investment can be expanded through the franchise and the youths can be attracted to this.
