Government to allocate budget with priority to the health sector in the coming fiscal year

Kathmandu, May 16: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Health and Population Upendra Yadav has said that the government will allocate budget with priority to the health sector in the coming fiscal year.

Speaking at a function held at Kanti Children’s Hospital in Maharajgunj today, DPM Yadav said he will try his best to ensure that 10 per cent of the total federal budget allocated to the health sector.
It may be noted that in the current fiscal year only 4.4 per cent of the total budget was allocated to the health sector.   On the occasion, DPM Yadav also said that the highest percentage of budget should go to the health and education sectors.
