State Affairs Committee helds discussions on formation of federal civil employment service and its operation

Kathmandu, May 24: State Affairs and Good Governance Committee of the house representatives held clause-wise discussions on proposals seeking amendments on bill related to formation of federal civil employment service and its operation.

The lawmakers seeking amendments on the bill stressed on making provisions that incorporate the spirit of the constitution and principles of inclusion and social justice.  The lawmakers said that the bill needs to assure proportional inclusiveness based on education, 33 percent reservation to women within quotas separated for inclusive groups.

The lawmakers also stressed on expansion of Dalit quota to 13 percent from 9 percent, separate provisions to Arya and Khas, assurance of sufficient reservation quota to Tharu community.
