State Affairs Committee directs Federal Affairs Ministry to cancel recently announced vacancy for local levels

Kathmandu, June 10: State Affairs and Good Governance Committee has directed the Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration and Public Service Commission to cancel the recently announced vacancy for the local level.

A meeting of the committee held at Singhadarbar today directed the ministry and the commission to cancel the vacancy announcement, claiming it violated the constitutional provision of proportional inclusion.

The Committee further directed the Federal Affairs Ministry to move ahead the process after reviewing the exact number of civil employees needed in all three levels.

Meanwhile, Federal Affairs and General Administration Minister Lal Babu Pundit has clarified that the vacancy was announced as per the necessity reasoning it has not breached the constitutional provision.

The Public Service Commission had recently announced vacancy of approximately 9 thousands posts for local levels.
