Kathmandu, June 28: The government is to organize National Labour and Employment Summit on June 30 and July 1.
Speaking at a press conference organized at Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security today, Minister for Labour, Employment and Social Security Gokarna Bista informed that policy-level discussions would be held in the summit, aiming to expand employment and to connect youth to employment.
The summit also aims to arrange policies, plans, and programs to attract youths within the country while assessing the demand, supply and required skills for the job market.
Minister Bista has also informed that more 5 thousand programs have been initiated in the country under Prime Minister Employment Program.
More than 3 hundred and 50 participants will attend the summit. About 50 experts will present working papers on construction, domestic and small industry, information technology and service sectors.
