Biratnagar, July 6: Minister for Education, Science and Technology Giriraj Mani Pokharel has said that the campaign to declare Nepal as a literate nation has begun.
Speaking at a programme organized to announce Morang as a literate district in Biratnagar today, the Education Minister said that the future education course should be linked with technology. Accordingly, the federal government has allocated budget to upgrade 212 community schools into the technical schools.
Minister Pokharel said that the federal government will hand over 1,000 community schools to the local levels after making them model ones. He also said that the community schools will be the centre of attraction for guardians and students within a decade as a decade to reform community schools has begun. (RSS)
