Home Minister Thapa directs chiefs of local levels to run relief distribution to the flood affected people in an effective manner

Radio Nepal, July 17: Leaders of ruling and opposition parties have inspected the flood and inundation affected Terai districts today.

While inspecting various flood-affected places of Rautahat district, a senior leader of Nepal communist party Madhab Kumar Nepal said the government needs to bring concrete programs for a lasting solution of flood and inundation in the Terai region as annual monsoon rain causes loss of lives and property in great extent.

Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa on the occasion directed the chiefs of local levels and city employees to run relief distribution to the affected people in an effective manner.

Likewise, Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba urged all to join hands in the rescue and relief efforts of flood and inundation victims keeping any kind of political prejudice at bay.

Talking to media persons at Simara Airport during the inspection of flood-affected areas in Bara, Parsa, Rautahat, Sarlahi, Congress President Deuba said he had been monitories the works of rescue, relief, and rehabilitation in the flood-affected areas in the capacity of the main opposition leader.

Meantime he urged all to join hand in the relief distribution and rehabilitation works at the time of humanitarian crisis.

Along with congress president Deuba, congress leader Bimalendra Nidhi, Farmullaha Mansur, Ramesh Rijal, Ajaya Chaudahy reached for onsite inspection of flood-affected areas.
