CJ Rana reiterates in his commitment to keeping the public trust and aspirations to judiciary

Kathmandu, August 1: Chief Justice Cholendra Shamsher Jang Bahadur Rana reiterated his commitment to keeping the public trust and aspirations to the judiciary.

While discussing the fourth five-year strategic plan of Supreme court today, Chief Justice Rana said all have the expectation that judiciary should be competent, impartial and independent while giving verdicts in any case.

Meantime, Chief Justice Rana also urged the media person to help him in his efforts to uphold public trust in Judiciary.

Saying some of the news content touches the subject under consideration in the court hampering justice delivery crating negative impacts on the public, Chief Justice Rana urged the media persons to be more sensible regarding such cases.

Also speaking on the occasion, Supreme court Justice Ishwor Khatiwad said that the task of bringing out of anomalies in the court is not connected to contempt of the court. However, the media persons must be sensitive while publishing news of the cases that can affect justice delivery.

Likewise, Justice Harikrishna Karki stressed on the need of an environment where justices can deliver justice without any fear.
