India donates books, buses and ambulances to mark Independence Day

Kathmandu, August 15:  The Government of India has donated books, buses, and ambulances to various organizations and educational institutions of Nepal on the occasion of its 73rd Independence Day. A function was held to mark the Day at the Embassy of India in Kathmandu today.

On the occasion, Indian Ambassador to Nepal Manjeev Singh Puri hoisted the national flag of India and read out a message sent by Indian President Ram Nath Kovind.

At the event, insurance funds were also been handed over to families and widows of the Nepalese killed while serving in the Indian Army.
