Nepal will be self-reliant on electricity next year: Energy Minister Pun

Dang, Nov. 8: Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Barsaman Pun has said Nepal will be self-reliant on electricity next year.

Speaking at a press meet organized in Ghoraahi of Dang today, Energy Minister Pun said one thousand megawatt electricity will be added to the national grid within this year alone.

Informing that hydropower projects with 4 thousand megawatt capacity are under construction, Minister Pun further said the county will reach in the position to sell electricity to other countries within next year.
