State affairs and good governance committee directs government to prepare new Nepali map by placing land up to Limpiyadhura

Kathmandu, Nov 11: State affairs and good governance committee of the house of representatives has directed the government to prepare a new Nepali map by placing land up to Limpiyadhura.

The committee’s meeting held today also suggested the government to make permanent arrangement of Border security force Barrack at all border areas on behalf of Nepal after holding diplomatic dialogue with India. Speaking in the meeting, chairperson of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Pushpa Kamal Dahal has called for taking high-level diplomatic initiatives to settle the border disputes between Nepal and India.

He argued that the issue should not be internationalized now rather it should be settled through the diplomatic channel. Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa has said works related to security for the protection Nepali territory has been forwarded.

Stating that there is no doubt that Lippyyadhura Kali river is the border of India, he said plan is in offing to expand security post in that area. Minister for land management, cooperative and poverty alleviation Padma Aryal said effort is ongoing to resolve the border issue with India through political and diplomatic levels.
