NC stresses high-level diplomatic, political talks

Kathmandu, Nov 12:  The major opposition Nepali Congress has stressed that high-level diplomatic and political initiatives are essential to retrieve Kalapani and other areas located in the country’s north-west.

At a press meet organized at party central office today, Nepali Congress Spokesperson Bishwo Prakash Sharma viewed that the newly released map of India is unacceptable to the Party, clarifying Kalapani, Lipulek and Limpiyadhura are under Nepal’s territory.

He further said the party has clear support to the government to retrieve the lands including Kalapani, where there is the presence of Indian security.

He further said his party was cautiously observing the government initiatives in this regard. He stated that Nepali Congress has confidence that the government will be able to make result-oriented initiatives, saying the national consensus is forged on the border issues.
