November 13 : Wildlife corridor is to be constructed at several places along the Narayangadh- Butwal section of the East-West Highway in the course of expanding it.

It is said bridge-like structure is to be constructed to facilitate the movement of wild animals. At least 15 such bridges will be constructed in Nawalpur area of East Nawalparasi under the Narayangadh- Butwal section of the highway, Sujan Adhikari, chief of the Road Expansion Project Eastern Sector, said.

The bridges will be constructed from Gaindakot to Daunne, the first section of the Narayangadh-Butwal road stretch, as this is mostly the forest area. The buffer zone of the Chitwan National Park also lies close to this area.
