Snowfall in Sudur Paschim state obstructs highways affecting normal life

Heavy snowfall in high altitude areas of Sudur Paschim state has obstructed main high ways affecting normal life.

The snowfall has been taking place from Wednesday night. The locals have been facing extreme cold after snowfall at high-mountainous areas of Dadeldhura, Baitadi, Bajhang, Doti, Achham, Bajura and Darchula districts.

The elderly persons, children and working class people have been mostly affected due to snowfall.

Chief of District Police Office, Dadeldhura, Dadhiram Neupane said the main highways of Sudur Paschim state Bhimdutta highway, Dasharathchand highway and Jayprithvi highway have been completely obstructed due to snowfall.

Neupane said that some vehicles have been trapped in snowfall. He said the efforts to remove snowfall and resume traffic by using dozers have gone vain as snowfall has been continuously taking place.
