Six killed in landslide at Mahawai in Kalikot and two injured in Kotwada of Narharinath

Six people of the same family have died in a landslide in Mahawai Rural municipality-3, Naku of Kalikot district last night due to incessant rain.

The house of Raj Bahadur Bista, an elected ward member of Mahawai rural municipality ward no 3 collapsed and claimed the life of his son Pushpa Bista, 13, Pravin Bista, 11, Sabina Bista, 18, Asha Bista, 15, and daughter of Raj Bahadur’s brother Dil Bahadur Shanti Bista, 19, and 10-year-old Resha Bista who were sleeping in the same house.

Nepal Communist Party leader Chitra Singh Gaule informed that Naku village of Mahawai rural municipality is at risk due to the landslide.

Similarly, two persons were seriously injured when a landslide destroyed their house at Dhari of Ward No. 1 of Narharinath Municipality in Kalikot district.
