Light to moderate rain forecast today

The weather will remain partly to generally cloudy throughout the country today with chances of light to moderate rain in many places due to the influence of the monsoon low-pressure system, the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology said.

In its weather bulletin today, the Department indicated the further possibility of precipitation owing to the situation of the monsoon low-pressure trough near west Nepal towards the south.

Presently, the weather is generally cloudy across the country and it has been raining at some places of State-1, the Bagmati State, the Gandaki State, the Karnali State and the Sudurpaschim State.

It will be generally cloudy throughout the country towards the afternoon with chances of light to moderate rain in some places and heavy rain at one or two places of the Bagmati State, the Gandaki State, State-5 and the Karnali State.

The latest information shared by the Meteorological Forecasting Division states that the minimum temperature was 21.0 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature 31.0 degrees Celsius in the Kathmandu Valley today.

The minimum temperature throughout the country was recorded in Jumla at 17 degrees Celsius while the maximum temperature throughout the country was recorded in Nepalgunj at 34.0 degrees Celsius in the last 24 hours, the Division stated.
