Number of one-horned rhinos up at Shuklaphanta national park

Mahendranagar: The population of one-horned rhinos has increased at the Shuklaphanta National Park in Kanchanpur district.

The one-horned rhino is in the list of a rare and endangered species of wildlife in Nepal.

The number of Rhinos in the park has increased from nine to 17.

Four of these animals were originally brought to the park from Chitwan National Park in 2000 with five more in 2017.
