Educational institutions, film halls, party palaces, stadiums to remain closed till mid-May

April 19, Kathmandu: The government has decided to close educational institutions in urban areas of 14 districts till mid-May to contain the Covid-19 infection.

Unveiling the decisions of the latest cabinet meeting, Minister for Communication and Information Technology Parbat Gurung said the government decided to allow the pre-scheduled examinations of colleges and schools adopting health protocol.

Likewise, the cabinet has also decide to allow the operation of hotels and restaurants from 8 am to 8 pm only. However, the hotels and restaurants could run home delivery services after this time frame.

Minster Gurung further informed that the government has decide to allow the opening of various offices, shops with necessary health protocols.

The Public vehicles would not be allowed to carry passengers more than their seat capacity and the passengers must wear mask.

Similarly, the long rout public vehicles are not allowed to pick passenger on the way and the service provides should provide the detail of the passengers to the District Crisis Management Center.

The Government has also decided to close film halls, party palaces and stadiums till mid-May.
